Tomorrow is the first day of spring, which means boating season up in my neck of the woods starts in just over 60 days.

I can't resist sharing a pic of me and the lovely missus from last summer. I can't wait to be doing this again:

Nice pic Paul...

I thought we had it bad in the mid-Atlantic! A three month season, that's brutal!

I have about 30 to 45 days left, I feel your pain :smt089

I noticed you guys didn't have any drinks in hand or in the holders, is the fine still $100 per can or bottle or is that a myth?? :smt017

BTW - Nice pic in the 190...you guys too

Hang in there, Paul!

I'm also gritting my teeth here on the other side of the tundra... incidentally, I just saw on BBC News that this was the warmest winter since records began... good thing global warming is a myth, eh ?!

Paul in Quebec (tabarnak!)

I don't think I could stand it for another 60 days. I'm planning to launch 2 weeks from today and that wait is driving me nuts.

Hey Paul
I'm shooting for this time frame as well. Do a springtime shakedown cruise around next Friday or Saturday then Hope to make a trip to British Columbia, Canada the end of April or First of May.
Where are you in the Pic Banff National park ?
Hang in there my Man...or meet me there

Wow! I won't complain about the year around boaters anymore. I'm completely satisfied with my April through October boating season. Boat is dewinterized for me on March 28th!

Todd:

That pic is taken at Wasa Lake, a little spring-fed lake in BC about 30 minutes north of Cranbrook in the East Kootenays. We live in Canmore, but have a small acreage out that way, and the boat lives there.

Besides Wasa, we also boat on Premier, Columbia and Moyie lakes. One of the days, I'd like to haul the 190 out to the Okanagan and spend a week out there.

Do you ever boat on inland waters? Or do you stick to the salty stuff?

We have been to Lake Roosevelt which is close to the Okanagan you were speaking about. We go to Lake Chelan maybe once a year and local Lake Washington a few times a year, but man you can't beat the expanse and limitless places to go in the "salty stuff"
