5Lt V8 MPI Sudden Loss Of Power

While out at the weekend in my 2007 Searay 245 fitted with a 5Lt V8 MPI, after a high speed run on full throttle for about 5mins the engine suddenly lost around 50% of its power, causing me to limp back to port, the engine has only just been serviced and the temp did not increase, it just felt like it was running on 1/2 throttle, oil pressure is good and once back with the cover open the engine sounded fine and smooth. has anyone got any thoughts on what it could be?
no alarms sounded.

Without an alarm, it must be fuel related. Service your fuel filter, check your tank vent, and fuel pressure at the problem speed
