First time with flooring. Should be interesting but itt will be a slow process because I work at my pace and that includes golf and fishing.

Joseph, this is a thread I will want to watch. Our carpet doesn't look as bad as yours on the steps, but I'm thinking it will need to be replaced in a couple of years.

You are lucky it's coming up so easy and in large pieces.... my last boat was not fun at all. I had to use a release liquid which is gooey and messy and very small pieces came up at a time. Sometimes Quarter size !

It took me longer to get the old carpet out of my old 300 than to put the new carpet in,adhesive remover is messy.I hired it out this time.

I got mine pulled up last week. I can't decide if I'm going back with carpet or doing hardwood. The carpet came up fairly easy but the millions of staples they used on the hatch covers are a different story.

My carpet was run up to the couch. I just have the moveable autuman on the end next to the stairs. I can email you some pics if you'd like. I'm headed there in about an hr or so to do some other work and can take some pics then.

Pulling the carpet wasn't difficult (only the lower rooms). The idea of white/ cream carpet is great for weekenders and non-livaboards. Originally, I was going for a sump modification (output, access hatch for forward battery bank charger) then.... BOOM,,,,I have always hated the carpet.

Scrubbing and cleaning works really well if the forward pump works.
