540da

Rich,
Congrats on the new boat. The 48DA was my dream boat but now after seeing the 54 I changed my mind. Good luck!

Any idea what he offered? SS3 MarineMax (same dealer that sold Rich122 his 540) is going to try and convince me this weekend to buy their new 2011 52DB while I'm at the Miami show. We're a FAR apart but i'd be curious to know what the market out there is...if you can call a handful of '11 boats a market. BTW, they wanted $975k for it in January '11 and $875k last month.

I'll shoot you a pm.

If I don't conflict with Gary's early morning tour of Four Sons, then I'll host, but management reserves the right to subsitute mudslides for Fra Diavlo Bloody Marys, and Turtle needs to bring a batch of Jalapeno Critter Turds...Life is spice on Fra Diavlo:

But understand this: You use the head on your own boats!

Rich

Spicey "Fra Diavlo Bloody Marys" and Jalapeno Critter Turds "Ala Mike and Consuelo".....and you expect us to be able to even have a chance of making it to our own boats to use the head? That's not even sporting of you!!!! Maybe with a Port-O-John on the dock we'd have a fighting chance. Did you order the 'hardened' impeller option with the new 540?

Rich,
Sounds like it is a beautiful boat. Best of luck and enjoy her often. The only comment I have and I am only speaking for me and well, the others on this site. We need PICTURES of your boat. thanks

here is a question for you guys.....if you bought and/or made an offer on a boat in miami, do you negotiate through your dealer/salesman or just through say Marine Max? How do they work delivery, trade, etc...........

Here's a few pictures, note the boat wasn't fully prepped for delivery, so many interior accents are in boxes

I am floored at the beauty of your boat... very happy for you.... enjoy her and love her she is amazing....

My friend traded a 58DB for a new 62 Azmut 2 years ago. Bought the 62 from the Miami show. SS3/MM was in Miami so they took care of the details with the Miami dealer. The 58DB was across the river in Viking (it was too big to get wintered in SS3 Peekskill) so in the spring it went to went to Lindenhurst for sale, and the 62 was brought up on her own bottom. Hope that helps Good luck with the 52DB I like the way they updated it from the '07. The crane davit was a PITA, the lifts much easier to deal with and the new cockpit design is nice.

Rich

And yes..thanks for all the well wishes.

Rich122,

I will not only say congratulations on purchasing a really cool boat but would also like to add, thank you, from me and my co-workers at the Sea Ray plant where your 540DA was built.

Congrats is to acknowledge that you have ARRIVED Captain! And Thank You, is for keeping my friends and co-workers employed...bottom line!

If I can ever be of any assistance to you and your 540, please feel free to call on me. No doubt your dealer will take great care of you and the boat but if you look down, you will notice that I am hanging on to your ankles for life....because you deserve it!

If I could attach a photo it would be the one of me in the 540 that I brought up the Hudson on July 4th of last year. Lady Liberty off the bow and fireworks off of Manhattan….you’re gonna love it !

Rusty

I will be at LL in July Looking forward to meeting everybody.
