Motor is out and turns out the manifolds are in good shape and it must have been the headgasket that was at fault.
I have tons of pictures and I would rather sell complete than part out. Motor still ran when it was pulled 2 days ago.
Motor was Installed in 2009 and had less than 100 hours on it so we were told when we bought the boat. I would have to look back at the gauges when we purchased the boat but I believe we probably put another 40-50 hours on it when we lost the head gasket. Motor was fogged and winterized properly then RE-fogged again before winter. Motor was run on the muffs this spring and then pulled the thermostat and filled it with pink. The shop ran the motor one more time before they pulled it and I will flush it and put pink back in tomorrow.
Motor cranked and started, slight stumbling but didn't stall. Compression is down on 2 cylinders. Great for repair or rebuild.
Engine is in my trailer on Shipping crate.
Would rather you pick up but can deliver in area.
This is a running engine for repair or rebuild. We decided to go bigger and more powerful just for kicks Instead of rebuilding it ourselves. It was now or never.
