5.0 draining system

Got a buddy with a 1996 5.0L carb and is trying to drain the motor preparing for winter. He has only found two plugs (actually he said they were brass and not blue plastic plugs). Is this correct, only two or are there more. I would think it has at least four; two on the manifolds and two on the blocks.

Sounds about right. My previous boat was a Crownline with a '94 5.0 LX/Alpha kept on a Hydrohoist. It had a brass "plug" on each side of the block. The lower hose to each exhaust manifold had to be removed to drain the water. Same for the water circulating pump. The power steering cooler was hard to access. So I pulled the intake hose from the thermostat and poured antifreeze in it. Then replaced the plugs and reconnected the hoses.
