As I lay here in bed, moored right next to the USS Massachusetts, I feel rope lighting around the bed. The problem is, I never knew it was there.

It does not light up with any of the switches by the door. The indirect switch only lights a small step light on each side of the bed. Should this switch light up the rope?

Damn, another project... But maybe this one should be at the top of the list, seems like good 'mood' lighting

I have a bank of 4 switches by the bathroom door that control the main stateroom lights, reading lights, the 2 small step lights and the companion way lights. The switch for my rope lighting is to the port side approximately half way down. There is also a switch on the port side towards the head of the bed for the reading lights. Try to follow the wires. :)

Not sure how yours are set up, but mine are on the 120vac circuit. I think they are plugged into a standard 110v outlet somewhere under or behind the bed. This circuit is also on the GFI that is in the master head medicine cabinet.

my masters rope lighting is plugged into a 110vac socket under the bed (a/c compartment) and its controlled by the indirect lighting switch. I also noticed I have rope lighting ran along the bottom edge of the salon couch. I'm still looking for the tinsel, icycles and garland.

I think I might have had some lighting under the berth in the forward stateroom. Looks like someone took it out but there's 12v at the taped up wires. Not sure how to shut it off and didn't think much about putting it back into commission so I actually forgot all about it til this thread.

It is controlled by the indirect switch and the lighting has failed. I only have a few of mine still burning. I plan on checking the dealer first to see what the expense is before I go looking to third parties.

Wow thanks, I can't believe I missed that switch. Right next to the thermostat, on the port side. It works. Should be a good night

Just be careful, I think if you have the stereo, the indirect lighting, and the rope lighting all on at the same time, the disco ball is activated.
