480 MY Holding Tank Sensor

Receiving a "Do Not Flush" light on my panel. Holding tank is completely pumped out. Filled tank with fresh water. Pumped out again. Light extinguishes. This is happening frequently.

I want to replace or clean the tank sensors. The tank is under the generator and their location is not obvious. I see where the pipe inlets and outlets are. No sign of the sensors or any wires.

what kind of chemical are you placing in your tank?

There's been a few threads on how to clean out your tank. Most come down to 2 products that folks use.

I just picked up some Happy Camper but have not used it. Using one of these two products helps digest the undigested and makes your tank happy.

Some say flush a bunch of ice down the toilet on a somewhat full tank and take the boat for a little spin and slosh to mix things up.

I'm used the same RV chemicals for 3 years. About 4-6 ounces. The boat is 14 years old so I wouldn't be surprised if the sensor has reached end of life. I've filled the tank with fresh water and taken it for a spin. That fixes the problem usually, not always. Sometimes it takes two clean outs. It's just a PITA. My mechanic couldn't find the sensor either nor the relay that is allegedly driving this whole thing.
