Has anyone ever replaced their windshield? Our starboard windshield shattered on a very warm day a few days after a trip from Ontario Canada to Southport NC. If so, who did you go to for the windshield? I have an email into Taylor Made, but are there others?

Trying to get some others real life QSM 11 running numbers. Long cruise this weekend between 1,860-2,000 rpm. At 2,000 was getting 84-85% load in the port but only 76-77% on stbd. Coolant temp of 180 on port and 173 stbd. Water temp at 86 degrees and air temp in the low 90's high humidity. I'm sure I need some work on the cooling system but looking for some benchmarks. Thanks.

170 degrees is the most I've seen this year with similar water and air temps. Your load is pretty high, mine run 63-68%. What's your GPH at those RPMS?

These are my numbers. I think my load at this RPM is around 72-74%. The one time I had a difference in the load, it was the props. I would suggest having them checked if the engines are performing well. When I had my props reconditioned, I had them done with Prop Scan. There are different classes of accuracy. I would make sure you request either class "S" (Very high accuracy) or Class I (High accuracy).

Steve, where did you have your Prop Scan done? Black Dog propeller in Maryland did mine but I'd like to fin someone more local (unless you had yours done in FLA, which would not be more local).

Hi Brian,

I did have it done in Florida but I also had my spares done in NY. I used a guy named Chuck Grey (845) 430-3763. He originally had his business upstate but then was working out of a barge in Brooklyn. I'm not sure if he is still around.

Hope your enjoying that beautiful boat of yours....

Cheers,

Steve

Has anyone had to replace the A/C water pump for the three units located in engine room up at the bulkhead? Any idea of a part number or what used to replace with? Thanks, Dave

I have just replaced mine this year, my boat is a 220 volt European spec and I bought a March Pump from their UK Supplier.

I paid about $240 and it was a very easy job to swap over. The old pump was getting warmer than I wanted, the case was quite rusty and I think a failure could be a deal breaker at the height of summer. Not worth the risk in my book

I have fresh water working its way in from the stbd aft. When looking into the corner and just to the right above my exhaust port. I have re-bedded the rub rail across the stern but water still works in. Is it possible to to be working through my cockpit drain that goes into the transom locker?

Did you also rebed the rubrail bullet shaped end caps? A lot of us had issues with these leaking. Could it be your transom shower dripping down?

QT, both corner bullets have been rebed. The issue is aft of that working around the stbd corner to the stern of the boat. I will try to snap picture and video this weekend. Transom shower is on the port side.

I had to re-caulk the vertical seam where the trunk is bolted to the hull due to leaks.

Not sure if you have bridge air, but the condensate drain is plumbed into the side of the trunk in that area. There's a floor drain located behind the cablemaster.

QT thanks for help. My condensate drain for bridge goes overboard on stbd side forward of aft corner by 3-4ft. So that is not it. I have sealed corners, but I am thinking of doing it again. The cockpit hatch has drains but thy run straight back and out. So frustrating

Matt, I have the same issue as you. It leaves small puddle in the corner under the exhaust plumbing. Even on the hard it still appears. So that would rule out the bullets. I also considered the vertical seam running down the trunk. Could be that but not thinking it is. I think it's rain/wash water somehow getting into the rubrail that runs down the whole gunwale. It works it's way to the stern and winds up leaking into that back corner. I haven't pursued it any further with (as you know) all the other issues going on right now.

I noticed it once this summer but didn't think much about it. I'm pretty sure it's related to washwater in my case since I'm under a covered shed and don't see rain. I think there's a small gap where the rubrail buts up against the transom and I may have directed the hose in there by accident.
