Could someone tell me where the windshield washer fluid bottle is located? I don't have a clue and I have been thru my boat from top to bottom, front to back dealing with various issues over the past few years and I have never come across it. Thanks.

If your 48DA is plumbed like my 420DA, there is no "windshield washer bottle." Your windshield sprayers/washers pull water from the fresh water system.

To winterize them, you simply purge the fresh water from your tank, add pink RV antifreeze, and run the windshied washers until pink stuff appears on the windshield.

On my 03 420DA there is a 12V valve that is plumbed into the cockpit sink fresh water supply line--when you turn on the switch at the helm the valve opens, fresh water flows to the sprayers on the wipers, and voila, the salt is washed off the windshield.

If you discover a persistent drip from your windshield wipers, the 12V valve is not closing all the way. A new one is around $300.

Yes, I replaced mine last season.

If your dealer charged you to winterize the windshield washer bottle, it is time to have a chat with the service manager. I'd ask him to show you in the 48DA parts manual where the windshield washer bottle is located.

Thanks guys. I was just assuming it pulled from washer fluid bottle. That is where assuming will lead you. Thanks again.

Hey Skip. My 460 has a gremin. Switch on the washer valve and water flows, turn off the switch and witer still flows .. only way to stop it is to shut opff the water pumps and allow the valve to loose pressure. I've found the valve, impossible to get to without tearing out the carpet, removing the salon chair and cutting in to the cabin sole floor board. Any ideas, anyone?

I was thinking of just hanging a garden sprayer from the cabin ceiling and just spray the wind screen with the wand, but then that would be too "Gary," so a real fix is in order.
