48 DA Survey Sea Trial

I thought i would post my sea trial results on my 48 DA. While reading through the posts in my research there was alot of questions on performance. These numbers are from the cummins tech reading on his laptop during survey. 5 adults, 3/4 fuel, full water.

Cruise RPM - 2400, 25.0 knots burning total 42 GPH.

Congratulations. I'm loving mine. I've been cruising between 2240 and 2340. The numbers look alright to me.

Those are all very good numbers. Congrats. Now, post your oil analysis numbers when you have 100 hours on the oil. Maintain her well. Lots of filters and fluids to buy.

My 48Da had just about the same. Load looks a little light for WOT, but then i never ran with 5 adults. Usually, just myself or 2 of us, and I would hit 98% to 99%.
Also I never hit more then 10lb difference in the oil presure. I ask a few Cummins techs and some say it's normal (all my twin engine boats showed a difference) and some techs say it's not supposed to be and it's the sender. go figure!

I do hit 99 or 100% load at 2650 RPM. Tabs have to be all the way retracted for that. At cruise, 2250 RPM I have to have the tabs down about 75% for max velocity (23.5 knots) at that RPM. At 2250 RPM if I bring the tabs up, the bow goes up, and the speed drops under 23 knots. If I go WOT with the tabs down where they need to be at cruise, I don't break 2600 RPM. Note, the props on my boat have been scanned and tuned.

I did notice that i did have to play with the tabs at different speeds, alot more than my 420 da. Loving the electronic Diesels and the vessel view.

Congrats, you need to post some pics. My oil pressure is at cruise has a 12 psi difference. The 48DA is one great boat!
