This is perfect, thanks guys for the responses. I have to add the chain stopper - but figured it was probably through bolted through that piece of starboard.Mine appears to be through mounted ona piece of starboard.View attachment 104245 View attachment 104246
It gets power from the 8D'sHi, I'm still exploring my new boat. I want to replace batteries. I see the 2 8D for engines and 2 batteries for bow thruster. Is there a designated battery for the generator?
Oh ok. The battery switch in panel just uses the 2 8Ds?It gets power from the 8D's
Also I'm assuming AGM is definitely the way to go, a shop I was in had the other and they were still sealed for 250 a piece rather than about 700 a piece for AGMsOh ok. The battery switch in panel just uses the 2 8Ds?
Go AGM, call these guysAlso I'm assuming AGM is definitely the way to go, a shop I was in had the other and they were still sealed for 250 a piece rather than about 700 a piece for AGMs
Ok thank you, I will
I got my Deka AGMs there and the price was great, again pre-covid.Ok thank you, I will
That is a great deal! Also I'm assuming AGM is definitely the way to go, a shop I was in had the other and they were still sealed for 250 a piece rather than about 700 a piece for AGMs
Pulled the coil off and tested it. It seems to have a weak magnetic pull. I took it off and ran a screwdriver through it and then turned on the heat. It definitely had some pull but not particularly strong.. how strong should it be?
Interesting, Jeffery had an issue but it was the actual assembly. I would test the voltage, there has to be a module somewhere, I have never looked for it.I have an issue with my port-side windshield wiper motor (it stopped wiping). This happened once before and it just started working again. Looking at the wires over the galley, I don’t see any corrosion and the breaker/fuse under the panel isn’t tripped. Any ideas on this before I tear into it and start resplicing everything at the wiper motor?

Thanks, yes there is a breaker under the helm, it’s not tripped, but I can certainly test the voltage there. Otherwise I’ll test the voltage at the motor and if the motor is bad - well then I guess AM Equipment will get their pound of flesh for a new motor…we all know they’re very proud of their pricing. Thanks guys!I recall seeing a wiper module under the helm, toward the starboard side. It was labeled as such.

Yes there has to be a speed control module but I have never gone looking for it. My guess is your problem resides there. With 2 switches and a speed controller that is a lot of connection points to check first before replacing the motor.@Sooliman
I think there is also a blackbox wiper module located under the helm when you open that access panel down by your feet.
OC and Shaps - that I haven’t seen (wiper control module / black box) - I’ll go digging! Definitely a good chance it’s a connection there too, worth checking.Yes there has to be a speed control module but I have never gone looking for it. My guess is your problem resides there.
