hey all. A few questions about the upgrade. 06 48 DA Boat has factory installed dual Northstar 6000i 12" monitors that have issues with the screens. I loved the simplicity of the Garmin units, so I ordered 2 7215 to replace the dated Northstar.
1-Will my current transducer Airmar B60-20 PN: 31-556-2-01 work? One electronics store mentioned NO and Airmar says YES as long as i have adapter plug to convert the current transducer to the Garmin Sounder Box GSD24.
2-The Northstar has an engine monitor feature that displays the digital readings. I am assuming that is coming from the smartcraft and communicating through NMEA 2000? Will I be able to have the same digital reading on the Garmin units?
3-Boat had Northstar Auto Pilot also factory installed. Will the A/P communicate with the Garmin system?
