I have the small 19” flat screen tv currently mounted on a pole stand that slips into a hole in the counter. I would like to mount a larger flat screen above it on the arch. Does anyone have experience on doing this or can share information on the type of mount and how to go about it would be appreciated. I am concerned that a mount on the arch could cause the fiberglass to splinter or crack, maybe being to cautious but certainly do not want to create bigger issues.

Thanks
JB

I converted a drink holder.... The TV is stored while underway.

I will post pics later on today but I mounted a 32" LED on the arch using the access panel above the old TV location. I used the access panel for wire access and mount. I cut a white Seaboard (plastic) in the same shape as the access panel, reinforced it from behind with pressure treated lumber. It looks great!

Camella thank you for your response and I look forward to seeing the pics of your TV may have a few more questions for you afterwards.

I've done this a few times. Current setup is a 28" Samsung Smart Tv mounted on the port side of the radar arch. I used a low profile flat screen mount directly bolted to the fiberglass (no extra supports). These TVs are so crazy light these days so I wasn't too worried about that. You'll want to get the TV connected to the Glomex. If it is a pain to run the wiring, just buy a separate antenna. I did this and it works great. The antenna is about the size/thickness of a sheet of paper of which I just stuffed up into the inside of the radar arch.

Here are the pics.

Camella thanks for the pics, can you tell me what TV mount you used and where I can get one? Are you pleased with the size of the 32" TV if you did it over would you go bigger or smaller and would you use a different mount vs the one you used? Did you have to purchase longer wires for the audio and DVD connections?
Thanks again for your help and guidance on this.

JB,
I think the 32" TV is a good size, I wouldn't go any smaller. I am happy with the setup but haven't had much time to really use it, this was one of my winter projects and the weather later here has been terrible. The power cord wire that came with the TV reached the outlet under the sink. I took out the DVD player since we never used it and bought a new coax wire. If you wanted to keep your DVD player you would need to purchase longer RCA cables, not a big deal.
The mount I purchased was http://www.ebay.com/itm/191539655295 ML421B2

Thank you both for the info and pics once I complete this project I will also post pics of the project.
