My little girl has sat by herself for alittle over 4 months in the nice waters of the Keys. The longest before this had been 7 weeks. Is there anything special i should do or just fire her up and let her run? Thanks, JC

Do a normal fluid check, look at the Racors to be sure they are full, look under the engines for leaks, put the keys in and fire 'em up. Look at the exhaust water flow to be sure it looks normal.

I'd let the engines reach normal operating temps......set the synchronizer and run the engines up to 1000 rpm after you see the temp hands begin to move. Then look at everything again for leaks.

I think you will most likely need to have the bottom and water intakes cleaned before running the boat much.

Boats are designed to be used, not just sit...........Have you considered moving the boat closer to KY? We have lots of nice water in our area and we are just a long weekend trip away!

No problem....if you need any thing while yall are in Kentucky let us know...there aren't many of us Southerners in South Florida ( we're from Alabama) and it's good to have some body to reach in to. I know Frank W has helped me a lot.

BTW is the 450 a "cored" hull or solid ? I'm on the hunt and was wondering.

Thanks,

John

Cored in parts of the bottom. The area where all the sea cocks and transducers are supposed to go is solid........which is a red flag when you look at boats. If someone has added a transducer somewhere besides in the forward bilge sump, be real careful.
