Can anyone point me to why the front winshield vent comes down but won't come back up? When I pushed the toggle switch to close it started to come down, but would not push up...had to go ahead and close all of the way due to weather, but now can't get it to open.

I had mine stick when I first bought the boat. I took the cover off and played around with it and got it working again. I don't remember doing anything other than tapping on the motor, or loosening a few screws to unbind the unit.

I had the same problem with my 2003 4200 , took the cover off moved the wires around , no problem since. Steve

Do a search on "windshield vent" and you will find several pages of info - from just oiling it to complete replacement.

The contacts wear out on the linear actuator after time. Get the manufacturer name and model number off the actuator, search the web and replace it with a new one. A very simple job.

i have a 390 sundancer and had the same issue. i disconnected the shaft from the motor near the window and hit it with wd40 after cleaning. that did the trick.
