44' SD Gauges+Smartcraft stop working

my starboard side of information (gauges + Smartcraft), suddenly stop working, and next day, works again.

Two times, Marine Max technician went to my boat,, and no wonder,, they had been working properly

They said that I'm not the first with this problem, but they dont have a clue what's happening.


Any one with the same problem?

The only thing I could suggest is re-seating the smartcraft cables both at the instruments as well as at the engine in the event one or more of the pins in the connector is a bit corroded or just not seated tightly. The smartcraft cable ends are fairly simple to get to on my 260DA but I have no knowledge of where they might be on your 44. If it turns out to be a simple thing to do, that is what I would try first.

Not really sure, either. The only other thing I can think of is to check your battery connections and especially all of your grounds. Making sure they're clean and tight. Now, one would think that if bad grounds were you're problem you'd have issues with both sides of your SC gauges. But, when it comes to electronics, you just never know! They can be a real PIA!
