Guys,
When it rains water is getting into the shower enclosure and leaking down the shower handle onto the genset..... Apparently im not that observant cause it went from a " I need to keep an eye on this to WTF in no time " .

I reset the entire shower box in new caulk. that did nothing . So I taped off the door completely and that stopped the water but it looks like heck. I tried just taping off the where the hose connects to the handle but as soon as it gets wet game over.

We don't use it but I don't know what happens if I disconnect and cap the water lines below when its winterization time.

Any thoughts ?

Weatherstripping, or something above the handle to divert the water before it dripped on it. Maybe drill a hole in the transom locker area where the door "nestles" into - so the water drains out before overflowing in the wrong place. Too bad you couldn't find a little rubber skirt for the handle to divert the water over the area where the handle inserts. For now, just tape the little shower door closed... probably would look a little better than a taped-off door! :smt001 (I'm assuming this is a hot/cold setup with a small, opening door?). You could also set-up a diversion below decks.

But, yes, you can cap off the water line very easily and not cause any problems. To avoid leaving standing water in the line (your "winterization" thought/problem) trace it back to where it originates, remove the line there, and insert a plug.

Rob - are you sure one of the water valves weren't completely closed? Crazy place to put that thing, right over the generator; what were they thinking? FYI - I've had guests that used then put mine away without fully closing the valves and it leaked for days into the bilge; kept hearing the water pump cycling and finally found it... Good thing mine is over the holding tank.

Dennis... it looks like the water lines ( hot and cold ) make a home run back to the manifold which is in the boat. YEs the water manifold is in the boat... ROCKET SCIENTISTS !!!

Ill mess with it this weekend. Hoping the weather stripping works . I tried a small pan above the genset to divert... But funny thing about water... it just travels where it wants...

Tom yea im sure the valves are off.. I wash the boat and u can see it literally poor in... Rain comes down the canvas right above the shower ... GREAT DESIGN .

Thanx guys ill advise
