Thanks…..I can do three like NorCal since I don’t have a stern thruster. His pics show an even light distribution too. Maybe that is the way to go.

My dearest doesn't like the color of our 2 sofas and dinette upholstery so I'm evaluating options. First thought would be to recover them. Has anyone tackled this? How difficult is it to remove the sofas and the dinette to be sent out to be reupholstered? Are there other options? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The sofas don’t look too hard to remove. I’m planning on recovering the 2 sofas. I can either take the sofas to the sewing machine are take the sewing machine to the boat. Since the bulk of the project and most of the sewing is the cushions, they can easily come to the shop.

The sofa frames don’t appear to have much upholstery/sewing, so I can either strip the upholstery from the frames, make new at the shop and install on the boat…Or take the sewing machine to the boat.

Somehow my family thinks I suck at fishing due to my fishing gear so they keep buying me more. Curious if anyone has found creative ways to store rods down in the engine room that doesn’t interfere with your access.

Thanks Richard, I'm not to handy with a sewing machine, but I can remove the cushions and back rest and take them to a reupholster to be done. Not sure about the arm rest and the frame. I also plan on removing the fold out bed since we never use it.

We also removed the bed. You’ll have to unscrew the sofas and get them away from the wall to get to the frame upholstery. From there you could take the whole thing to the shop or remove the upholstery and have the shop make new pieces.

Only reason I’m doing it myself is that I can’t find anyone to do it at a reasonable cost…and I have the sewing machine. I also need to make new carpet for the salon.

Where is the central vacuum bag on the 420 sundancer?? looked for hours and cant find it!! Flustrated.

Mine was under the Starboard couch in the round canister...

I removed it and just use a cordless stick vacuum.

Yes I have found... It is under the electrical panel.. Remove both triangle Holders and walla...
the vacuum bag and canaster.. It is not under the steps like a 380.

380 Manoverboard...you might be on the wrong sub forum. This is the 420/44 Sedan Bridge...

Just changed out our cockpit fridge over the weekend. The stainless is a nice touch

Want to do the galley but would like freezer on the bottom. Am told freezer on bottom not very efficient?

The freezer on the bottom doesn't let the cold disperse as well as when on top as cold settles to the bottom.

Do you have room for drawers or a side by side? I went with a side by side, but different boats.

I installed the Vitfrigo All In One units. One or all drawers can be freezers or refrigerators at the press of a button.
I'd recommend based upon our experience. Putting the freezer on the bottom is the most efficient as heat rises and cold sinks.

Wish we could do drawers but setup is similar to @Todd P. has in his galley. @ttmott i guess the thought would be that the fridge up top would fight to stay cold. This was all from a vendor at a boat show so who knows. could be based on what they had in stock.

That is rational for a common box situation in a tall arrangement. The refrigeration would be for the freezer above and would remove the heat rising from the refrigerated items below. A compromise for both a refrigerator and freezer.
The Vitrifrigo units on my boat have separate temperature controls for top and bottom. The drawers are in separate compartments.
