Scott could you PM this to me also? Ian looking at the same boat as you, and you snatched a great one right out from under my nose:) also interested in you approximate cost of transporting. I found another fresh water boat near, but will have to transport overland to SWFL.

sb in gp- As Alex showed in his chart, 2600 is the WOT number. When mine was clean and running right we could always hit 2680 at the top. I always prefer to see a tad over than a tad under.
Best of luck in the sea trial.

She ran was right at 2680 with full fuel full water and 4 men aboard. What a great ride that boat is. Found a couple of minor issues but nothing to stop the deal. I'll post some pics from my PC. Waiting on oil analysis.

Damn, I'm good! Lol
Congrats on the purchase, hope the oil analysis comes through positive!

Hi, I currently own a 500 sun dancer 2005 but will be trading it and joining the 420/44sedan bridge club. Can anyone tell me the performance numbers for the 44 with the 500 cummins that put out 476 at the prop. Boattest only has the smaller motors. Thanks, Andy

alubell, here's some real world numbers from when I owned a 44DB. Your results may vary. FWIW, I kept it in Rock Hall from 2007-2009.Screen Shot 2014-03-20 at 12.04.11 PM.png

Unfortunately it is listed as an option. It is unusual to see a boat without it. Almost all dealerships when ordering this model always equipped with this option.

Scott,

Have you tried asking SR? I'm sure they should be able to get it for you, as it's been offered as an option. Granted that most likely you won't be happy with the price tag. Worst case scenario, if this is discontinued item, SR should be able to share the source.

I took my $3500 coffee table and stools out for the last two years I owned the boat and replaced them with two $89 ottomans from target. They took up less space and offered more utility (storage!) than the coffee table. And they were a helluva lot easier to move when I wanted to put out the sofa bed. I did chuck the table and stools back in there before I sold it. They do look nice, but the ottoman's were far more practical. Just a thought.

I keep my ottomans at home for the same reason. They take just way too much space. When needed I use folding chairs, which are easily tucked away when not in use. The table is very nice, though.

However, after having custom cockpit table made, we thought that it could make sense to use it for both salon and cockpit (depending where it's needed at the time). So, the thought of having nice, functional and light enough cockpit table may save you thousands of dollars for dedicated salon table.

Has anyone come up with an interesting way of adding more light on the bridge? Will upgrading the two small lights on the arch to LEDs do the trick? My basic idea is to add more light by the table during dinner times when it's pitch black out.

Alex,
This may not be the whiz-bang answer you're looking for, but I just used a small, low-output table lamp for dining up there. The light, or lack thereof, over the table is definitely an issue if you like to dine up there and see your food.
