Hello All,

Short Version - Does anyone have dimensions on the rear berth in a 410 Sundancer?

Long Version - Our 34 Formula is sold and we're looking to go bigger. A 2003 410 w/ Cat 3126's is on our short list, however the rear birth size is important.

Does anyone else have advice or suggestions in this size range?

Cheers

My 420 Sundancer replaced the 410 and I believe is very similar sized. I'm 6'2"" and can comfortably sleep in the back berth. It's also wide enough to be comfortable for two.

Thanks,

Good to know about the 420. We've been considering them as well, although the cost with Diesels is quite a bit more than the 410. My impression was that the 420 had a much bigger aft berth, but I should have take measurements to back that up!

Jmwarren... That was my old Formula that you bought from me that you just sold! Ironically, we moved up to a 2001 410DA as well. Great boat. Where is the Formula's new home going to be?

Hi Bryan,

The Formula is back in Ohio, the other side of Cleveland though. It was a fantastic boat, we just need more space and would like diesel power. The 410 is on our short list but we want to be sure two adults can comfortably sleep in the aft.

You gotta define comfortably!!! Two adults can easily sleep in the mid cabin birth but my queen size at home is a hell of a lot more comfortable that any boat mattress. We have other adult couples with us all the time when we travel and the aft (or mid) cabin on my 410 is fine. Separate head, hard door and A/C outlets provide the privacy and comfort that we all need to travel with another couple. It ain't the Marriott or Hilton but it works.

I hear ha on space! Curious... Did you make money on the sale? After we sold it, I told my wife that if you keep it for two years you will sell it at a profit!

There is room for an adult couple. We have a mattress topper we cut to fit that makes it more comfortable. Just not comfortable enough to make people want to stay too long!

Do you guys have the 410 model that has the bunk that folds out of the wall above the queen birth? If so, how big is this? Really considering this 410 model as all 3 of our kids could sleep in the midcabin then. Much appreciated.

Sorry it is a little off topic, but still asking size of a bed :)

Don't forget to pull off the starboard side bolster cushions that are held on by Velcro. Adds an extra 6" or so to the length of the berth.

That fold down bunk is scary. Have you ever climbed up there? It needs some netting or something in case you roll over in the middle of the night.

Rick, you ruin all of the fun!

I did not have the pleasure of serving in Uncle Sam's Nav, so I have not spent any time in such miserable, close quarters.

The thing scares me when I get up there. Roll out and it's a 5 foot drop to the floor after you bounce off the couch/bunk.
