I have a 1998 40 DA. It has the sliding hatch over a solid entry door set up. The black plastic track for the hatch is broken and twisted. It seems to be a common problem with these. How have you guys fixed this, or have you found replacement parts? I checked Flounder Pounder with no luck.
Thanks.

I did some digging and found replacement tracks at boatoutfitters.com. Exact OEM replacement $175.

Nice, now I just need the catch that holds it open and the little pads that it slides on. Any ideas?

Did you replace the track with the OEM style that's open to the side? The trucks that I see appear to only fit the tracks that are open at the top.

Yep - that's the track, but my rollers fell off years ago. (how's that for irony?)

I don't see a truck that fits these open-to-the-side tracks. My tracks have never twisted, but instead have chips in them that let the rollers fall out.

We replaced ours years ago and they are holding up well. Got them from the dealer and they were pricey even back then. Did both sides. I recall having to custom cut and notch the ends to fit the contours of the dash. Also some of the holes had to be drilled as they didn't line up.
Is anyone elses top slider door fading? Ours appears to have turned slightly pink.

ALSO...Since were up in that area does anyone know anything about the vent window ram? Ours must be on its way as it will get stuck open. You have to tap it with a screwdriver as you hit the switch. I've heard there are internal limit switches. Can they be fixed or do you just get a new ram?

No issue with fade than I can see.
I'm not sure about the ram limit switch, but a friend of mine took the motor model number and ram length and found the local distributer on line(Detroit) of that unit and it was 1/5 the cost. (in the event you need a new one)

Contact info for the local distributor? Thats one thing I don't want to have stuck in the open position.

I called him, unfortunately it was a number of years ago and the receipts went with that boat when he sold it. He just got the info off the motor and searched for distributors online. A local hydraulic shop was suggested as well.
sorry, not very helpful I know.

Call Jim Cox at Tike Isle. He has everything you need at resonable price.

Should have added the phone number; Jim Cox at 866-633-7961

I still need the latch that holds the slider open, anyone find those?
