Hi,

A new proud new owner of a 2002 400 DB here.

My overhead cockpit lights are rather corroded. Can anyone tell me what (brand, model, replacement) they are and what bulbs are required? If I had bulbs one of them may work. Are the bulbs the same as the interior G4 halogens?

Also I seem to have 2 switches in the salon for cockpit lights. I assume one controls the overhead. What does the other one do?

One more thing. I also have a salon switch for indirect lights. I can't seem to find any. I do have them in the master state room and and those work.

Thanks for your help.

Congrats! Can't help you with the lights, but welcome aboard.

How about some photos of the new addition?!

indirect light in salon is on the stair by the galley
works great usually

Bill,

Based on our conversation at the marina last weekend, sounds like you are well on your way getting to the bottom of your problems. We are on the "hard" accross from the yard shop. Good luck and stay in touch.

PS Thanks for the CD changer. It's nice to have a ready spare on hand.

You probably have the same interior lights that I had. They were some sort of Cantalupi imitation made in the back woods of China. I ended up getting these:

and replaced all the corroded ones. It actually made the cabin brighter as the reflective dish inside was much better. It's just a better quality light all around. Funny thing is that Sea Ray used Cantalupi lights on the bridge of my boat but cheapo'd out in the cabin.

These are not direct replacements and I had to make the holes a little bigger. The trim ring on the outside is the same size but the insert/body is about 1/4" bigger. However, four years later and the lights look brand new....

I got them from
