400 DB Davits?

Here is what I have:

I have made some modifications over the years. Pretty easy to load a 9' rib with a 6 hp merc 4 stroke.

I use Nick Jackson electric davits to lift 11' Inflatible w/ 30 hp Yamaha (prox. 500#)

Thanks guys,

I have one similar to Dancing Angels'. Problem is that it can accumulate water at certain lower speeds from the wake. Do you have that problem?

The NJ ones look very nice. Do you have some pics? I am curious as to the installation - where does the cable post go?

Yes, I did have that problem. I modified it from original. I cut the uprights that form the "chocks" and added 8" to the one side and 6" to other (port to stbd). This increased the height off the water and provided positive drainage for the rib. It is quite a bit better. I too would like to see photos of the NJ install. I have thought about this many times, but the install seems to be prohibitive.

I use the hurley davits and they are very good....The product is better today than when I bought 4 years ago......

Hurley davits don't work too well on the 400DB platform since it is so damn close (or in) to the water.

WetPaint - how high is your integrated platform off the water? I measured 24" on my 420da and dont think it will work.....

You're right about the height of the swim platform on the 420DA but it does work. I have the Nautley DinghyRamp.
