i switched one of the bulbs just to see how it worked...

no idea what brand they are but i will take a look.

never installed them so i cant honestly say how bright they are.

i purchased the setup off ebay and never installed it.

Those appear to be the same ones I also bought from ebay. I don't think they have a brand, just a no-name housing. Reasonably well made if they're the same ones I've got. Not sure about what metal they used with the supplied brackets. But thus far they're still in decent shape after four months in the Chesapeake. The stock halogen bulbs they provide kick out a decent amount of light, but nothing special. I only put one on each tab. Just enough light for a bit of scenery at the dock and somewhat visible in the wake when underway. Not nearly as much light as I've seen from higher-end setups, or even the oznium LED units. But for the price they do a decent job, even in the murky green of the Chespeake. In fresh or clearer water they'd look a lot better.

If/when they crap out I'd be inclined to go with the oznium ones. If only to get a smaller fixture that's less likely to accumulate algae and other sea-life growth. This past spring was rough, stuff was growing really quick. But after that one month it stopped being as much of a problem. This was after just the month of June in the water:

How about we make it $195.00 and make it 2nd day UPS. Boat is out of the water all next week for bottom paint. Haul out no matter what you do....
