4 bladed prop

What pitch and diameter 4 bladed prop has anyone used on the 1990 39 Express with gas motors.

No answers? No body put 4 bladed propeller's on a 1989 to 1991 39 express with gas motors.

Assuming you have the standard 19X18 3 blades used on every other gas 390 I have seen your choices would translate into 19X16 four blade or 20x15 four blade. However I would consult a prop shop or Michigan Propeller for accurate assessment. What are you trying to accomplish with the 4 blade prop?

4 bladed prop gives better maneuverability for docking with the half pocket props.

I saw someone using 19*19. He said the prop shop re did the pitch to be 19.

I started last week doing the teak the Aftica way. Its coming out so nice just with the tounge oil. I didn't have time to start the teak oil yet. Just so much teak on the 390.

Thanks for the info on the props. As for the teak I used Bristol coating on my teak. It was applied 5 years ago and still looks as good as it did when first applied. What I liked about Bristol, there can be multiple coats applied at one time and it can then be sanded and rubbed out. Check out their web site Bristol Finish .com see what you think.

Hi guys, new here, but thought I would share the info on my 1989 390 as she now has 4 bladed props. I have twin diesels 320hp turning 20x22 four blades. She is slightly over propped, but grips well when in tight quarters. Cruises at 22kts @ 3200rpm, tops out towards 27kts 3900rpm.

I am new to this so let me try I have a 390 EC gas with 4 blade nibrol props (20x18x4bl ni cup) I hit 4300 rpm with 1/2 tank of gas about 31 MPH. I have herth trans(might not be the proper spelling)
