4.3 mercruiser

standby for heavy rolls... You're about to get blasted by numerous people seeking more information regarding what you have already looked at like...

Do you have gas?
Do you have spark?
Are all of the necessary switches on?
When was it last run?
Is anything different?
Have you done any maintenance?
more to come...

Not sure if you are asking a question ("what should I do next to get it to start?) or making a statement ("this new feature saves me tons on gas each season")?

Like others I don't understand the problem, but from past experiences push the neutral button in and give it 2 little half throttle pushes. Just to get some gas in there. I do it whenever i come out to my boat after a week or few days because it will start easier. I hope I have provided maybe some help or a hint to your problem.

Check all the wiring connections on the engine, especially the small wire from the distributor to the ECM. Also check that you are making a spark. I've been down this road before with both of my engines!
