3M to acquire Meguiar's Inc.

I wonder if this will lead to product changes. My meguiars notifications mention that Barry Meguiar will continue to lead the company.

Meguiars makes, in my opinion, some of the best surface care products available. I hope they keep it that way.

3M is no slouch, many of the over the counter products started out as professional shop items and trickled down to consumer packaging

Agreed. 3M has the cash to give Meguiars a larger research budget to extend its product line, and may also have some products in its existing research pipeline that would fit being marketed under the Meguiars brand.
 
3M was always geared towards professionals, it was never cheap but if you work with the stuff it is worth every penny.

Meguirs has a good retail fan base, with 3M as the parent only good things can happen
 
the two products i use for spring prep. interestingly, i found that the $15 meguiars flagship available only at boat stores performed no better than the $6 meguiars car cleaner wax available in walmart.
 
I always use "car" wax, aint no way anyone could ever convince me that a marine wax is any different or better.
