I've gotten a TON of good info from this forum, over the years, and this is my FIRST posting!

I am familiar with the 390 EC water tank leaks, and the replacement of the tank. I had the same issue with my 1987 340 DA. I'm trying to verify it's the water tank that is indeed leaking, prior to tearing up the carpet and replacing it.

I have water collecting at the very front of the of the underfloor storage area that is mid cabin, and runs back to the shower sump. I've replaced the shower sump, and there's NO wetness anywhere near the shower sump. The compartment is wet only in the aft portion, just forward of the water tank. The amount of water was enough to soak the carpet I had in there as a floor covering in the storage compartment. So, perhaps 1/8th inch or less?

Is this where you other 390 EC guys have found water from a leaking water tank? The reason I'm poking around is another 390 EC owner replaced his tank, and STILL finds this water getting into the storage compartment. Could be from a window? Shower? Any help from experiences would be greatly appreciated.

First, welcome to this great forum. Tons of info and lots of nice people, I have to add!!!

I experienced the leaking water tank and I discovered it from the soaked carpet just in front of it!

Try this: unscrew a couple of screws holding the tank in place. Stand on the floor in front of the tank creating some pressure under (where the soaked carpet is). If the compartment underneath is filled with water, you will see it coming out from the screws’ holes....

I also had a leaking shower drain that filled even more all the compartments underneath the floor... so I had to open all the floor up as you can see in this thread of mine...

Good luck!!!
