390/400 DA Refinishing cabin steps

Hi, has anyone redone their cabin steps. I have a bottom step a doggie chowed on. If I’m doing one, I will do all. Question is what finish is used. Teak oil, varnish....I’m not a wood worker.

New teak steps $1600 on ebay. Member on here had a set st $700 used.

I think is become a woodworker or make friends with one
