I am about to replace the water holding tank in my 1986 39' sedan bridge and would like to discuss this with other sedan bridge owners. Any information would really be appreciated on the removal. Thanks.

I think you're the only one on the board with the 390 Sportfish. I'm not sure how the layout belowdecks varies from the express.
Mine's centerline- the floor was cut out (and turned into a screw-down panel) by the PO and the aluminum tank was replaced with poly.

Where's your tank located?

I've never seen any bridge boats older than mine on the boards. Welcome Don. I can't help you on this one. All I know is that my fresh water tank is under the forward berth, encased in hull and plywood. I don't relish the thought of having to remove it but I suppose with judicious use of a jigsaw, it can be done without too much heartache.

PS-
Always liked that boat but couldn't find one with diesel power nearby when I was looking to purchase.

How's the performance with the gas engines?

The tank is located under the galley floor. I think it might come out threw the bulkhead into the engine room.

I am very pleased with the performance very strong and smooth. Only has 462 hrs on a fresh water boat.
