I just want to start off saying I appreciate any help anyone could offer.
But I've been chasing this issue for 2 to 3 years now every time I think I fix it comes back
When going on plane the misfiring starts at 2500 rpm all the way up to about 3,500 RPM. I've done compression test okay did the whole cool fuel module sent out injectors for cleaning that made a big difference boat never ran to 5000 before and still does but just breaks up at 2500 RPMs- 3500.replaced crank sensor, cap rotor spark plug wires plugs, coil. Checked throttle position sensor tested good have not checked map sensor yet or cam(pick up coil) sensor.
End of last year it fired the coil and had a no start condition this year it started to act up again so while at the dock with engine running i check all connectors and i hear popping around the coil. so I sprayed it with some water engine shut off and would not start no spark. fried coil again yeap buy new coil still runs like shit. Iam starting to think that needs a new ECM.
