340DA Cockpit Electrical Problem

I lost all power to the electrical panel below the steering wheel which supplies the engine hatch, vhf radio, gps, window vent, spot light, mooring lights, and 12v acc. plug. I checked the wiring schematic and it shows it connecting to the solenoid. Where is it and what can I do to check if it's the wiring or solenoid? :huh: Any Suggestions?

The batteries for port,starboard and generator use a latching solenoid so you can ativate them from the panel or the bilge breaker panel. There is a pigtail in your owners pack that lets you poer the hatch with a battery or a 12 volt jump box. Just take a battery or a jump box and attach thr red lead to positive and the black lead to negative and plug the other end(looks like a cigarette lighter plug into the dash 12 volt accessory receptacle.

Your engine hatch can now be opened with the dash switch. The solenoid is located in the black plastic breaker box in the front center of the bilge.

Also sounds like it could be a bad ground.
