After replacing the starboard transmission and getting it back in the water today, the portside transmission is not fully disengaging into neutral. I can feel it go into neutral, but the shaft continues to spin in the forward direction. Pulled shifter slowly into reverse, about 1/2 say down the throw, and it never completly hit neutral that I could tell any way. Going to make some calls tomorrow, anyone seen this happen before? I did pull the shifter back and forth several times.

It is a ZF 63 IV Hurth V-Drive.

Thanks
Jeff

dumb question but did you climb down and watch the shift lever on the transmission as someone pushes the gear shifter? Maybe there's something off with the cable. You can pull the cable off the lever entirely and shift with your hand down in the bilge to see if the gears change properly. Maybe while they were working on the stbd someone stepped on the port cable or connector (??)
