340 SUNDANCER THREAD

Hey guys!

Please post pictures of your flag pole setup. Teak/stainless etc. Looking to change mine which is attached to the handle of the transom locker. I know the proper size for my 34 is a 36" pole with a 18" flag. Seems quite large so I am looking for some pictures!!

This worked nicely for me:

SeaTeak 60754 Flag Pole (1 1/4-Inch X 36-Inch)

Taylor Made Products US 50 Star Sewn Boat Flag (16" x 24")

Taylor Made Products 967 Marine Flush Mount Flag Pole Socket

Thank you! I am assuming you mounted over to the side in order to get to the transom locker?

Yes - near the two drink holders. It required a little gymnastics to reach through the locker and install the backing bolts, but it wasn't too bad.

Factory Sea Ray Flag size for the 340DA was 16x24.

Post #4 in this thread will show you the factory mounting location- http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php...Mount-Location

Asking a question for a friend with a 2007 340-
He would like to replace v-berth dvd player with bluray, but cannot find out how to get the old one out. Can anyone tell me how it is mounted and how to remove?

Thanks!

Hi all,
Anyone run into a leak that makes water collect on counter, under electric panel? The ridge catches it, but if lots of rain it drips down corner by fridge onto floor? I cant find any wet spots above, stumped.
I see someone said remove speaker in ceiling and check wiper motor area? How do I remove the speaker?
Thanks

on my 2001 model the charger maintains the batteries for the generator, the port engine, and the starboard engine....it is a 3 bank charger.....the two batteries in parallel for the starboard engine and the house battery are treated as one battery by the charger....

Do you now if the house gets fed rom both battery banks, or only from starboard bank?
There is just one voltmeter and on my boat it shows only voltage if I turn the port battery witch on.
Set up is two battery banks (2 batteries each) and one GenSet battery.
We just got the boat and I could find any information on the setup for the house battery so far.

I actually would love to hae seperate deep cycle AGM Batteries for my house 12V system, but don't know how much work it is.
Can someone point me in the right direction.

Just for information, the boat is a 375 (just the international Version of the 340 SDA) - the hull number shows 340 SDA build in March 2003

Thanks

It looks it's the same on my boat.
The only concerning bit is, if I switch on the SB battery switch there is no reading in the volt meter, if I switch on port I see a reading.
I think to look a bit deeper into the battery set up

Its easy to check. Turn both banks off, then turn on one bank at a time and if your house 12v lights come on, that is the house bank.

On my 330 I switched the house power feed from the starboard bank to the port bank. I did that because on mine the house bank batteries are under a cockpit seat. The single port battery was in the bilge. I needed more battery capacity (no genset) so I installed a pair of golf cart 6v batteries in a big battery box on the port bank, and rewired the feed. So now my port is the house bank.

Just remember to push the button next to the volt meter to read the stbd bank, it's a momentary switch, that defaults to port I think, so if you only have stbd active, it will look like there's no voltage because it's measuring port unless you push the other side of the switch.

Thanks for the advice - I guess that's what I was missing. Will check it out on Saturday

I had this happen once and found that it was the closest porthole (just above the cabinets) that was not fully latched. It took some creativity to get all of my latches to latch tightly but once complete I never had a repeat of the puddle under the panel.

Does anyone here have the performance charts for an 06 340 with the 8.1 Horizon engines? These are the RPM/Speed/Fuel Consumption charts. I maintain a spreadsheet calculating time vs fuel burned for our favorite destinations and would like to update it from the data for our old 260. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Been a while since anyone has posted in this thread...

Anyone ever remove the rails that surround the sun bathing pad on the bow? I've got some water getting into the boat I believe from there and I want to remove reseal and reinstall. Just didn't know if anyone else has done this before and had any pointers.

Thanks.

If you search for "rebedding hardware" you'll get plenty of hits. I'm not sure about the sun pad but the bulk of the deck hardware securing the rails requires access from below (through headliner in the cabin). No small task...

Hey there, Did you ever upgrade your stereo?
I also would like a newer head unit but find the helm controller and the CD changer convenient.
What did you find if anything?? Thanks in advance if you get this.
