The prop identification on some seems to indicate it. Someone should really physically measure theirs before we take it for the truth. i wonder what the rationale for doing such a thing would be??Bingo Boyz said:Anyone out there know why Sea Ray has added different sized props on 2005 and later 340's with 8.1 L engines? One is a half inch larger than the other. Everyone I talk to says no that isn't accurate but according to the charts it is. Any knowledge?
Bingo Boyz said:Definitely two different props. Replaces starboard one this mast week.
Well, my battery issues are not over yet. My Genset pretty much smoked its way to a slow and horrible death over the holiday weekend. Relied on Battery power and did not fair too well at all.
Went to start up to go back to port and could only start the starboard engine. OK, try the emergency start button. Did that, and it killed the running engine and blew the circuit breaker. Could not get the port engine going. Plugged into my friends boat (110) and waited a few minutes and then was able to start up. This has not been a great season for us so far.
Bingo Boyz said:The prop was our fault. We tried to help a friend get afloat. Everything else has nothing to do with the operators of the vessel. If there was oil and coolant in the generator and I had just checked the strainer and the water was flowing nicely from the side of the boat. What could I possibly do wrong to smoke it? Nothing at all. Just bad luck I suppose.
