Hi Mateys,

Im getting ready to list me 34 sundancer and the broker wants the boat in its best condition to hope for the best sales price.

He has suggested its time to replace the risers and manifolds, Im on the Gulf coast of Florida and wanted to get any ideas of prices.

I have seen the parts online for around $1000 My fist complete quote was $5000?

Cheers.

David.

It's been a few months since I looked, but the cheapest price I found online was just over $600 per OEM manifold for the 8.1's from a vendor in New Jersey whose name escapes me right now. That would be a bit over $1200 per motor for just the manifolds.
Elbows, gaskets, or anything else you need would be extra.
If you have stainless elbows that are good, then at the very least you'll need new manifolds, gaskets, and bolts. They are pretty heavy too, so shipping would add to the cost of you can't get them locally.
It's a fairly easy job if you have basic mechanical skills and some time to kill.
If you have a pro do it they likely charge you list price for all of the parts (which is fair and common) and probably at least half a day labor.
