Hey guys new to the site! Just bought a 2000 340 Dancer, this is my first Sea Ray so I'm pretty excited for summer.
Any way the first thing that has to go is the stock stero system. I already replaced the cockpit speakers with MTX marine speakers. The original Clarions were actually rotted right out. I put in 7.7 MTX for the Lower speakers and, 6.5 for the arch. It actually already sounds great with just the speakers replaced. Have not even put the new radio in yet. I think that they are amped with some small clarion amps from the factory if I'm correct.
I bought a new Pioneer Premier 410 for the radio and a marine wired remote to put at the helm. Also ordered a 10' MTX sub.
So i was thinking of putting that sub installed just below the passenger seat on the side facing out (if you know the boat ) Or should i have it enclosed in a box or somthing?
Next question was Fishing the power wires to the batteries. Where is the best place to do that? I was thinking of putting the amp in the large closet next to the aft Cabin, Ifigured its large enough to have air circle though there.
Any ideas?
