I have an exhaust fan switch at the kitchen counter and one in the bathroom. I found the fan behind the bathroom. Is there a another switch or breaker someplace to turn it on? I get nothing with both switches. Maybe the fan is shot?

Yep, breaker at the panel, then each fan has a separate switch - one in the head and one in the galley.

Hmmm...I thought I looked a few times. I'll look again.EDIT... I see it in the manual. I'll check tomorrow.

Are the switches the breakers? What happens when a breaker trips? I could have sworn I turned that switch on. I'm going down today to verify.

That is correct. If it keeps breaking the 12V fan motor is probably bad. Easy fix I matched mine up @ Napa Auto parts. You may be able to oil it down and get it working again.....maybe!

You are correct. There should be two switches to turn the fan on and off. One in the bath room and one in the galley under the microwave. There is also a switch on hte DC side of hte breaker panel that needs to be turned on. As someone else stated "power vent

Turn on the "power vents" at the panel. If the galley fan turns on with the galley switch and the head fan does not turn on with the head switch then it's most likely the fan in the head. If the breaker at the panel gets shut off when you turn one on then there might be a short causing breaker to pop.

I believe there is only one fan controlled by two switches. One in switch in the head one switch in the galley controlling one fan somewhere in the middle. Thats how my 06' is set up at least.

My 1985 340 has a switch at the helm that must be on before the switches at the vents work.

No go. All switches on and breaker. No fan. Winter project...:smt101

Heres one thing I just remembered. 2 months ago my fan wouldn't come on, I found the fan switch in the head had rotted out. more to chew on.

Did you use a Volt Meter to check things?

That's my next step. Going to check voltage at the switches. If I have voltage out of both, most likely it's the fan.

I had the same problem on my 88 340DA. The galley fan worked but not the head. Found the ground wire had come loose at the fan. On my boat the head fan is located on the sidewall behind the cockpit on the starboard side.

Where is the fan motor located? in the head behind an access panel?
