Have to replace my cruisair 12,000BTU ac unit on my 1999 340 sundancer.
Looking at a marineair 14,000btu Rev cycle unit as a replacement. Has anyone installed one of these units, and if so, we're you satisfied with it?
In order to install the 14000 btu unit I need to know the gallons per hour on the original ac pump. The label on my pump is unreadable.
And does anyone know the size of the ac flex hose that goes to the individual round ac vents in the v berth, head and aft cabin.
Thanks you for any info.

I have a friend that purchased a marineair unit. They love it, very quiet and efficient. You will probably need about 500 gph for a pump.

I did the same thing only with a 16000 BTU unit. If your pump is red in color it will work just fine. I'm not familiar with your boat as far as the vents.

Sorry for the late reply..Watching grandkids can make you lose focus.
Thank you all for the info on the unit and the pump. I'm going to order it.
Will post the results when done.
Thanks again,
Dave

Update on the Ac unit replacement. Bought a Marinaire 14,000 BTU rev cycle unit. The 12,000 cruisair that came with the boat -340 dancer.. was really borderline for cooling.
I felt a 16,000 btu unit would be to big for the boats size and I might have to add vents to handle the increased air volume, so I would not get freeze ups.
I ordered the marinaire and received it three days later. It was lighter then the cruisair and fit perfect under v berth. It runs off the pump that supplied the cruisair unit and the duct work is sufficient for the new unit. It was very easy to connect all hoses and electric. The unit is very quiet running and cools down the cabin much quicker and colderr then 12,000 btu unit. The unit comes with a hand held remote for changing temps and modes. Remote comes in handy, you don't have to get up o change settings. The wall mounted display Is a little hard to see. It also has humidity settings which keeps the cabin dry.
Again, thanks for your help.
Dave
