With a 13-4 + beam, big block gas, ease of control, and the comfort of my lazy-boy,........why can't I find 'anything' on CSR, about anything ?? Are they that good ? Hmmmmmmm!

Oh!! You bought that boat.......

Just kidding, I think it's actually one of Sea Rays best boats (hull styling and sea keeping). I just couldn't get the wife to give up the aft cabin. We do have the same motors, and I have learned allot about some of there known issues and some not so well known...

Good luck with it and welcome to the club!

There are no photos of your EC so I can't tell if it's basically the same design as my Amberjack. I think it may be the same model with a bit of a different layout below.

You tell me...

I own one and think it is the perfect boat. I quess there just enough of us on the board to have much talk about them.

I think this boat was Sea Ray's answer to existing customers looking at Tiara's 32' model. It's basic design seems quite similar, but seems to be a bit "softer styling" and less "utilitarian" than Tiara's.

It's heavy, wide, stable, and usually has people assuming it's a bigger boat than the 340 badge would suggest. There was a change from 2000 - 2001 involving cosmetics and the cabin layout. This change introduced a traditional dinette (2 benches with a table between) and a dedicated angled V-Birth with one piece mattress in addition to nice gloss maplewood thoughout.

I think it's an awsome upscale boat for a couple that like to entertain and stand out from the "norm".

I have a 1999 370EC, the 330Ec and Amberjack's bigger brother.

The 37 EC is more similar to the Tiara 32 open. Overall length and beam are very similar.I looked at a new 33EC before I bought the Tiara. I'm tall and did not like looking at the top of the windshield frame when driving the boat. Also had to stand as the seat was too shallow. The 37 was much better but had the eisenglass instead of an all glass composite frame windshield. The Tiara looks a bit spartan in the cockpit but the seats are more comfortable and there is more seating on the 32 than the 37EC. Down below the Tiara is all teak with leather seating and a queen sized bed with innerspring mattress. Comfort is much greater for sitting, eating and sleeping. The boats are pretty much identical in layout and look. Tiara's design puts more space in the enclosed air conditioned helm and aft cockpit area. From a distance, the lines are very similar on both boats.

We looked at the Tiara 35 open when we were shopping. I did not like Tiara's high windshield in the summer=too hot, but that is just a personnal preferance. What made us go with the 370EC was the interior. My wife found the interior of the SeaRay much more to her liking than the Tiara's.
A year ago a Tiara dealership had a stay over at our marina. The dealer asked me to look at the 39 open.Very nice boat, the interior lines have been softened and resemble the SeaRays. He asked me what I thought, I told him it was very nice but not $500,000 nicer than my boat. He laughed and said that he would have to agree with that statement.

That's one of the reason you see a lot of helm a/c on Tiaras. It's a good trade off to not look through isenglass.

Last time I fueled up on the coast it was $2.90. That was late December. Either way, I don't think I'll be moving up to a gas sucking hog like that!

And if you did, running it at WOT to obtain that 64 GPH you wouldn't be owning the engines in it very long either.
