I am currently in the process reviewing survey results on 2003 Sundancer 320 with 200 hrs on v-drive with 350 Mags, 18 LH/RH 19 props. Curious what others experience with similar boat. Here are some of the observations.

1. What is normal engine temp. Engine temp was 175. Normal?
2. Engine RPM WOT 4800 at 30kts. Full water and about 1/2 full gas and 4 adults (~1000#s)
3. Cutlass bearings had about 1/8 inch of play

tbon, I'd pose those questions to your surveyor and get his opinion. He's the expert and you've paid him some big bucks to be your representative in this deal.

Not sure where I heard it but remember some one saying 1/16" good for cutlass bearing. No idea if that is correct. There has to be a SeaRay spec on them.

My bost with 350 mags runs 155-160.
4800 rpms is about right but 30 knots is slow even with v drives. I would think 36-38 knots should be achievable. There must be performance specs available if you search.

The cultass bearing is a bronze sleeve lined with rubber. There is going to be a little movement with even a new one, but 1/8" is way too much if you stand under the shaft and push up.

My 320 with Smartcraft never seems to have an engine temp over 160. My boat hits right at 5000 RPMs at WOT. Yours is within spec.

+1. I agree 100%.
