I found a company that will make a filler/cover for the cockpit sink, in the same corian Sea Ray used.

I am going to have it made with a 1/8" x 3/8" lip and a center finger hole. So you could put it up, it would stick up only an 1/8". or you could route your existing sink and get a flush fit.

The problem in order to get a good I need to get as many as possible the cost for 10 would be 75.00 each plus shipping any one interested?

I'm interested.

Interested - I have a 44da (for all I know the sinks may be identical!) - will they give you the volume discount on different colors / cuts or do they need to be identical?

I think your sink is different, they will make any size its the setup charge that gets you.

You mean something like this?

I did that in teak. I also have the pattern. If you can use a router and sand paper, send me a PM with your address and I'll trace the pattern and send it to you.

Mine is not as elegant as Henry's. I made it out of Oak which I did not stain. It has a couple of coats of Polyurethane on it.

I could also trace a pattern of this if anyone is interested.

Would they have one for a 2006 340DA? I would be interested and would like to see a picture.

Do you think that size lip is strong enough? I may be interested...

Gyro,

Do they have pictures for proposed cover?

Just received my teak sink cover from Henry - it looks great! Can't wait to get to the boat tomorrow AM and see how it looks.

I can surely attest to Henry's work. He did several teak items for our 320. Folks still admire and comment on the great workmanship.

I used a cutting board that I bought from Wally World. The board is approximately 1" thick. I made a template of the sink opening and cut it out with a jigsaw. Then I used my router to cut in a groove so that it would rest in the opening. Rounded oover all edges and sanded the piece. I did not cut in a finger hole, instead I made an opening at the faucet end just in case the water gets turned on with it in place. It also gives you more surface area if you want to use it for serving cheese, crackers, etc.

Spiro,
Sorry for the Gyro !
Where are you with this modification ? Are you moving forward ?
We are still interested.
