I just finished a customization on a 320. It includes a teak table that allows four to eat comfortably, and a cover for the sink that increases the counter space.

Both were done in 4/4 teak. Anyone interested in dimensions please PM and I will send them to you.

Very Nice Henry. I like the fact you made them out of Teak.

I made a sink cover for mine awhile back but I made it out of oak. Yours looks much nicer.

Sott,

Thanks. The cover is a 9.25" x 12.825" ellipse. This is mostly a router project. I made an mdf template that I attached to the bottom of the teak blank with doublesided tape. After rough cutting on the bandsaw (you can skip this step if you don't mind the mess and use a router), I cleaned up the edge with a zero clearance bit. Then and this is important, use a round over bit to do the top edge. Use a smal pilot drill and mark the center of the blank by drilling through the template (if you manually laid out the template, the center will be already marked). Now you can separate the template from the blank. Use a 3/8" rabbiting bit to cut the offset to allow cover to set into the sink hole. The height of the rabbit is determined by how high you want the cover to protrude, and if you want to round over the inner edge. The center hole can now be drilled. I used a 26mm forstner bit. (No reason other than had it.)

Nice job.
Did you assemble the teak boards together yourself, or were you able to find that large a piece of solid teak already made?

That's really nice, Henry. I like the way you aligned the grain - it gives the piece more "flow". Pardon me if I'm not using the correct wood-working terminology... :smt001
