3196 performance

I own a 2001 480 sedan bridge w/3196 660 hp cats and would like to know what performance you are getting such as top end,cruising speed w/rpms and what pitch you are using on your props. Thanks, CPetersen

I have a chart that Sea Ray put out that compares the performance of the QSM-11 and Cat 3196.

This is what they have for your boat:

Cruise (rpm): 2100
Cruise Speed (mph): 31 to 33
Fuel Usage at Cruise (gph): 50
Range at Cruise: 272 (15% reserve)
WOT (rpm): 2300
WOT Speed (mph): 33 to 37
Fuel Usage at WOT (gph): 68

Prop: 28 x 33 4BC

Those numbers are for a boat without anything on it though.

I just got a 1998 480 Sedan with the Cat 3196 660 HP engines. At survey we hit 31 knts and I believe it was around 2200 rpms. Let me know if you want more info and I will pull the survey and give you the specifics.
