The ZF sheet is sort of confusing. 04A does not list brands, only API ratings, 04B lists monograde brands, but, ZF is a European company and the brands and types of oil listed are those available in Europe, not the USA. 04C is for multi-viscosity oils, like 15W-40, and not applicable to your transmissions.

So, you can either find an oil that is available in SAE-30 with the API ratings shown in the list under 04A, or try to find an oil brand you can buy in the US that is in the 04B list. Most people in out marina, including the shop, use Rotella T1 SAE 30 in 400DB's, but Mobile Delvac 1630 meets the same API ratings.

That's what I do. My ZF 280's call out the same oil spec as your ZF220's do. I use the shell rotella 30wt. All the Walmarts around here sell it at a good price.
