I am not a diesel mechanic but I have heard and witnessed that the injector cups require a Cat certified mechanic to replace them. This is one of the drawbacks of owning a diesel powered boat.

I just had this job done on my starboard engine. I watched the whole procedure. I fix everything myself but am glad I paid the cat dealer to do this job. There is a look involved, not to mention a few thousand dollars worth of tools.
