310 Sundancer

I have the same 30 amp issue too!! Never tripped the boats 30 amp breaker on my 29, or prior boats..others have said the same thing on 310 DAs here too.. My dealer said SeaRay said to better manage my load!!! Interesting so many 310s have the same issue!:wow:

Our '08 310 trips the main breaker when the AC and microwave are on at the same time. The easy answer is that we turn off the AC when we need the microwave.

Glen, I sent you a private message.

Looks like the single 30A issue is with the newer 310's as Mike pointed out.

And I thought they were going "green" these days!

If I'm not mistaken, the electrical load on a new 310 is about the same as the new 330. Both have the same AC, micro, grill, lift, water heater, stove, and lighting. The difference is that the 330 is on two 30A circuits. I usually run 1 line to save $15 per night on a transient slip and several hundred dollars/season on my slip. When I'm feeling rich, I run 2 lines on the transient slips and am a pig about of my electric use. It doesn't make sense to pay for 2 lines on the slip since, I'm usually only running the AC, charger, and fridge.

I'm thinking about purchasing a new 2009 Sundancer 310 with 350's and BIII's. Stepping up from a 280. Would like to hear any comments from 310 owners, positive or negative...

Thanks,

Redsky

I'm not sure why you would make this change? It's more of a lateral move, not really a much larger boat. I'd go at least 330 if not 350. I was just on the 310 at a show this past weekend and was unimpressed with the space versus a 280.

I have a 2007 310 and put two l-16 batteries in it sits level it use to list port because of the bbq, refrigerators head ect. We go out and i don't worry about charging my batteries nearly as much l-16's weight is 125 pounds they are 6 volt trogans very happy 350 mpi inbords

I have the same issue. Can't pop popcorn and have A/C at the same time!
Sorry to say it but that's just not right. SR should have done a better job with the electric issues on the newer 310's. This boat was the replacement for the 300DA and that boat doesn't have any of those problems. Thank goodness. They have similiar loads other that the grill option which I could understand needing the extra juice for. No AC and microwave?? Come on now SR...:smt013

For anyone looking for a good deal, I know of a 2007 340DA that was recently repo'ed and is not even on the market yet. (In SF Bay Area) I am sure this would go for a lot under current value!
