The door to my head really makes me nervous. It does not quite open 90-degrees as the door hits the bottom cabin step. Just slightly pushing on the door causes the bottom hinge to flex and doesn't look good. I'm afraid one of my guests will pop the hinge even though I try to give them a "heads-up". Of course after a few adult beverages logic goes out the window.

Other models may also have a similar issue so I am asking advice from all. Has anyone come up with a good method to protect the door? I was thinking about a thin stop cable at the top but then there are clearance issues for the tall ones. Maybe I will have to mount a bumper, uh.... fender to the step.

PS.....opening day of boating season was nasty but today was just beautiful!

I placed a pea sized transparent self adheasive bumper where the door meets the step. This was more to protect the finish on the door than to support the hinge. There shouldn't be a need to open the door any further than the step anyway. The hole doesn't get any bigger through the door if you do...
