300 Sundancer questions.

Zinc Anodes - Can someone tell me where all the zinc anodes are? I know of the hull Zinc and the trim tab zincs. Are there more? Also, if you have part numbers and best website for ordering from that would be helpful... Thanks....

I am pretty new here and I would like to know, if it is normal that the vacu generator on my VacuFlush toilet is working in pretty close intervals. Is this due to a leak in the system ?
Otherwise I think this is a great forum but I find it a little hard to find answers to specific questions. Perhaps I am searching in a wrong way ?

Have fun out there - that what Sundancers are ment to.

Greetings from Denmark.

Hi Lars. Our expert Vacuflush guy Gary is on a month long trip right now but heres some info for you from another thread. http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3528&highlight=vacuflush. As far as searching for topics try this. Go to search on top right hand corner then go to "advanced search". Type in words your looking for but instead of " all words" use the arrow and select search "in topic only" I did this and it brought up 15 threads on the Vacuflush system. Good luck, Brian

Lars,
Put about 4” of water into the bowl – but do not flush.
Let it sit there for a few hours and allow the system to cycle as you indicated it does.
If the water level goes down or drains all the way out, then you have a seal problem that can typically be remedied by cleaning the flush ball and the rubber seal. Sealand makes a cleaner for this named appropriately “Sealand Bowl Cleaner.”

Hi Jim,
I don't experience water running out of the bowl. I just have the vacuumpump "ticking" 14-15 times every 5 minutes. Probably for maintaining vacuum. But I don't know if it's normal or I have a leak somewhere else.

I saw the other post about how many 300DA owners are still around. It has been awhile since I have read through this post....but there is tons of great information here. Has anyone added a cockpit TV in a 2002 or newer model? If so, what type of bracket did you use? What size TV?
Post any pics if you have them.

Any 300DA owners with 2002-2007 years have the upgraded sound system? In particular I am wondering what location the subwoofer is installed and what size subwoofer is used.

Jeff, I don't have the optional sound system, however I remember it located in the helm seat base facing the bar.....I think.

You might check this sight out and ask them for compatibility with the model of your CMD unit....presuming you have a Clarion system.

Jeff...that is where I thought the sub might go. I would like to know what size the factory used. I will probably be putting in a new head unit. I think mine is the XMD1... and I want one of the new units with IPOD/satellite radio functions.

From the parts manual I downloaded off S/R's web site for our 2006, it is listed as a 10 inch Polk/MOMO subwoofer RV1 speaker.

Our head unit in the electrical panel is a CMD4. The CMD5 had wireless remote capabilities if I remember correct. Mine uses CNet for connectivity.

Jeff...thanks. I had looked in 2002 parts manual...and could not find anything. I guess it was not an option on the 2002 model...but looked at later year parts manuals and found the 10 inch listed as well. I found a pic on Yachtworld of the sub location...right under the helm seat....which probably make better since that facing the bar area since it may restrict your access to the storage under the seat.

Anyone have problems with the throttle/shifter's sticking or being tough to move?

Mine have never stuck but they have alway's been stiff to move. I think there is a tension adjustment screw in the throttle assembly. I haven't bothered since I'm used to it now.

Hello All,

We just put a deposit on a 2003 300DA. It was a repo that showed up at our marina. We're having a survey done this weekend and we should close by the end of the month. It's nice to read all the favorable comments from current owners. This one has a generator, cockpit fridge, AC/Heat, windlass, 350 Magnum B3s, camper canvas ...
It has a Raymarine SL70RC Radar/Chartplotter, but doesn't seem to have the C-Map chip. Does anyone know anything about these units? My current boat has a C-80 Radar/Chartplotter display. Will the same chip fit into the SL70?

Thanks,
-Charlie

Charlie, good luck on the survey! The 300 is very solid and comfortable boat. Sorry I am of no help on your chartplotter. Maybe some of the others can chime in. Or try dropping Jim at BOE a PM for some guidance.

Congrats on the boat good luck on the survey. It looks like the SL70's only take the C-Map NT cards. I expect your C80 has a Navionics card in it. I checked the Raymarine site and it does say that the Navioncs cards are compatible. Of course they could be as I don't own an SL70...
